The "Blatant BBC Bias Demo" was the second protest which took place outside BBC Scotland's head-quarters at Pacific Quay.
Organizers of the protest held on 28th July 2012 voiced their concerns that recently introduced impartiality guidelines for the Scottish independence debate are being ignored by the broadcaster. When asked about evidence of a pro-Union reporting style, they refer to BBC Scotland's political blogs being closed to comments and political debates being weighted in favour of Unionist commentators and guests.
Martin Keatings, Norrie Paterson and "ButeHouse" were commended for their rousing speeches at the protest. Martin, who is also involved in organizing the Independence March on 22nd September, can be heard regularly on Radio Independence Scotland, which is dedicated to reporting on the independence campaign.
