The Burtisland Highland Games, which have a long tradition dating back to 1652, are held on the town's golf links.
The event starts with a procession along High Street featuring the Burntisland Pipe Band. There will be a summer fairground and market stalls.
Events include Highland dancing, shot putt, hammer throwing and caber tossing as well as running and cycling over various distances and the traditional Binn race where locals run a 2ΒΌ mile course over an extinct volcano at the back of the town.
