Debate: A State fit for the 21st Century

About

Scottish Parliament Building, Holyrood
Scottish Parliament, Holyrood
Now that the Scottish Parliament has committed itself to independence and the concept that sovereignty rests with the people, it is time to explore what shape a Scottish state should take.

The event, which has been sponsored by the Constitutional Commission, will take a Question Time type of format. Each speaker will outline the elements of a Scottish state they consider important; then the audience will have the opportunity to put questions to the panel.

The Constitutional Commission is a non-partisan, independent Scottish charity, whose objective is to ensure that any proposals for constitutional developments concerning Scotland are fully debated and decided in Scotland.
