Yes Scotland Establishes Local Groups

Local Authorities, Scotland

At the end of July, Yes Scotland announced that they were planning to set up 32 local campaign groups mirroring the organization of the 32 local authorities in Scotland.

Yes Scotland will help selecting suitable venues for the inaugural local meetings, where local campaigners will have the opportunity to meet up with Yes Scotland advisors and fellow supporters. During the following campaign, a team of Yes Scotland Regional Advisors will continue to assist local groups and volunteers.

Yes Scotland Inaugural Meetings

Achieving an independent Scotland in 2014 will be up to local communities.

It's great to see that the first meetings have been set up! Time to roll up our sleeves and get stuck in!

Anyone who has signed the Yes Declaration is welcome to attend the meeting. The meeting will be chaired by a Yes Scotland representative, who will give a presentation. This will be followed by a discussion to decide the best strategy for the local group to take Yes Scotland forward. The attendees will also appoint a Lead Volunteer, who will be the main point of contact for Yes Scotland Regional Advisors and the Head Office.

Keep checking this page for new local meetings as they are scheduled.
