Who should Decide the Government of Scotland?

MPs elected by the South-East of England vastly outnumber Scottish MPs in Westminster

Who should decide the government of Scotland?

About

Who do you want to decide the government in Scotland?

  • These 5 million here [in Scotland]?
  • Or these 14 million here [in South-East England]?

Your country. Your choice. Vote Yes in 2014.

The five counties of South-East England - Kent, Sussex, Essex, and Greater London - send 139 MPs to Westminster, which is more than double the number of MPs appointed by the Scottish electorate.

The graphic was published on Wings over Scotland on 24th May 2012 in the article How to win independence with one picture.

Please, note I made two small changes to the graphic:

  1. The original read "Vote yes on October 30th."
  2. I moved Shetland out of the box and to its proper place as some Shetlanders are getting a bit fed up with being stuck in a box.
